Some people are destined for greatness, but is Mike Myers‘ old-school Canadian journalist Ken Scarborough in Netflix’s new series The Pentaverate one of them? Only time will tell.
In a newly released trailer from the upcoming series, viewers saw down-on-his-luck Scarborough go undercover to break a story on the Illuminati the Pentaverate, the world’s oldest and most influential secret society. And in the process, maybe, just maybe, he’ll save the world too.
Myers pulls an octuple performance in the six-episode series, premiering Thursday, May 5. The series asks, “What if a secret society of five men has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347?” As this new series begins, one unlikely Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and possibly save the world himself.
The non-Myers cast members include Ken Jeong, Keegan-Michael Key, Debi Mazar, Richard McCabe, Jennifer Saunders and Lydia West. Jeremy Irons narrates the series.
