Meteorologist/Reporter, KGW-TV

KGW, a Belo Corp. subsidiary, has an immediate opening for an
individual to work as a Weekend meteorologist for its Number One
weekend newscasts. This person also gets substantial exposure as our
main fill-in person for the Monday-Friday newscasts. The top local
news operation is looking for an outstanding and experienced
meteorologist to work in one of the country’s best cities, at one of
the country’s finest local news operations and join one of the best
media companies in the country.

Responsibilities include gathering weather information and presenting
it in a compelling way to our viewers. We are especially looking for a
person who can produce a contemporary weathercast that focuses on now
and future weather trends. The successful candidate will be someone
who can tell a good weather story and perform well live. This
position will also be assigned reporter responsibilities during the
week which include gathering, investigating, logging and writing news
stories for television as well as the website. Individual will also be
working on special reports and series to be used on KGW news programs.
Also will develop news sources in special areas of interest. Position
requires individual to keep up current events and do live news
reports.

Minimum 2-5 years experience required. A certified meteorologist is
also preferred.
