People want some way of editing tweets, whether it’s by rewriting the text (my choice) or having a strikethrough (popular among many).
During the reporting on the Tucson shootings, there was a lot of information flying around the traditional and social web. Some information turned out to be accurate, some didn’t. Especially concerning was the incorrect tweet that Rep. GIffords had died. Here, I joined Search Engine Land’s Danny Sullivan and Scott Rosenberg from MediaBugs.org, a news accuracy monitoring site, in a discussion presented by Poynter. Our topic: How should journalists handle incorrect tweets?
