Leslie Jones is back on Twitter, ending a self-imposed break that came following a hack on her website. Late last month, hackers posted nude photos of the Saturday Night Live actress on JustLeslie.com, along with her personal information. That followed an ugly summer which saw racist and sexist attacks against Jones on Twitter during her starring role in “Ghostbusters.”
Jones stopped tweeting on Aug. 23rd, but returned just in time for her birthday:
Ok y’all must know I celebrate the whole week of my bday. Use to the whole month but I was young then lol. Now I just want to have fun!!

And she has a message for her supporters:
Thanks to my fans and friends! I’m soooooo ok really. And I will always be funny been through a lot in my life and I ALWAYS GET BACK UP!

One of the gang leaders of the Twitter trolling against Jones was Breitbart technology editor Milo Yiannopoulos. In an interview last week with ABC News, Yiannopoulos was unapologetic, calling himself a “virtuous troll” and saying he was “doing God’s work” by provoking people. Twitter has suspended his account.
JustLeslie.com is not running as of this writing, and directs to a GoDaddy page indicating the URL is parked. Leslie Jones returns to Saturday Night Live when the show premieres Oct.2nd.
