Lamar is with Coco!

By David Weinfeld

He may be banned from network TV, but Conan O’Brien is not having any trouble reaching a national audience. From countless fans on Facebook to millions of followers on Twitter, Team Coco is running like a well-oiled machine. Thanks to a pro bono assist from Lamar Advertising, Team Coco’s distribution power has just gained a significant boost. Conan’s tweets will be seen towering above major highways across the country. Talk about free advertising.

Lamar has established the website www.aplaceforconan.com in support of the effort. The site’s mission statement explains Lamar’s impetus for bringing Conan’s messages to digital billboards across the nation:

Conan has lost his home and his rightful place on millions of screens across the nation.

His audience is also lost. Some are picking up the pieces of their lives, but many can’t. Some are too young to know this isn’t their fault: that they’ve done nothing wrong. So, until this talented, brilliant, voluptuously coiffed man has his show back, we shall offer him our screens.

His tweets will be displayed 22 feet wide on thousands of digital displays across this great land in the noble hope of putting a little Conan back in all of our lives. Lamar is with Coco.
