Josh Brolin Heads to the Outer Range in Trailer for Prime Video’s New Western

Prime Video has released a first look trailer for its upcoming Josh Brolin western drama series, Outer Range. The first season will be comprised of eight episodes, with two episodes airing weekly upon its premiere Friday, April 15.

Brolin plays Royal Abbott, a rancher who stumbles upon mysterious happenings at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness. At the start of the series, the Abbott family is grappling with the aftermath of their daughter-in-law’s disappearance. The Abbotts will also have to contend with the Tillerson family, a neighboring for-profit ranch who are out to claim the Abbott’s land as their own. A shocking death in the community as well as a mysterious black hole that appears on the Abbott land promises to take viewers on a dark and supernatural journey.

In addition to Brolin, the cast of Outer Range includes Imogen Poots (I Know This Much is True), Lili Taylor (Perry Mason), Tamara Podemski (Four Sheets to the Wind), Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick), Tom Pelphrey (Ozark), Noah Reid (Schitt’s Creek), Shaun Sipos (Krypton), Isabel Arraiza (The Little Things), Olive Abercrombie (The Haunting of Hill House) and Will Patton (Yellowstone).
