The ability to report and publish anywhere, anytime got a boost from a likely source today as Apple introduced the iPhone 4.
While video calls, HD video and a new OS are grabbing headlines, the new device could be a powerful multimedia production suite all by itself, according to Alfred Hermida, an online journalism pioneer and professor at the University of British Columbia.
Hermida points out the new 5 megapixel camera, with the ability to shoot video in 720P HD and “the more powerful A4 processor and the new screen resolution will also make it easier and faster to edit video on the go.” (See Hermida’s full post here.)
So start sucking up to your boss now. You absolutely, positively will not be able to do your journalism in the digital age without the iPhone 4.
