Depulso!

Come the end of the month, all eight Harry Potter films will be leaving HBO Max once again. But there’s no need for phoenix tears to heal the heartbreak just yet. Fans will still be able to enjoy the films, just on another streamer. Peacock added all eight films on July 1.

Variety reports the Harry Potter franchise has bounced between the two streamers over the past two years.

The eight Harry Potter movies were included on HBO Max when it first debuted in May 2020 but left after 90 days and headed to Peacock that fall. The films returned to HBO Max in September 2021 but are once again leaving the streamer and returning to Peacock.

Based on J.K. Rowling’s seven-book series, the Harry Potter franchise enjoyed enormous popularity throughout its course and amassed billions of dollars at the box office worldwide.

Despite the films leaving HBO Max, the streamer still holds the rights to the three Fantastic Beast films, which are set decades before the events of the Harry Potter films and center on magizoologist Newt Scamander and the beginning of a global wizarding war.

Additionally, the Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts special, which reunited Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson with additional cast members and original director Chris Columbus, aired earlier this year on the streamer.
