Halo didn’t take long to make a splash on Paramount+.
The series, based on the Xbox game franchise, is the streamer’s most-watched series premiere ever in the U.S. and internationally, a record it broke in its first 24 hours on the service.
Of course, there’s no way to tell how many people actually viewed the series in that timeframe, as Paramount+—like its fellow streamers—does not publicly share concrete data.
“Bringing Halo to life as a streaming series has been one of the most rewarding efforts for Paramount+ to date and we could not be more thrilled at the massive fan response to the series’ debut,” said Tanya Giles, chief programming officer, Paramount+, in a statement.
The series, which was in development for nearly a decade, has already been renewed for a second season.
