The new Star Wars: Force Awakens trailer premieres during Monday Night Football tonight and just in case you don’t mind working a second screen while watching the Giants-Eagles game, you can buy tickets to the movie as soon the trailer ends.
How’s that for a general audience push? The new J.J. Abrams directed installment has true Star Wars geeks (yes, you read that correctly) flipping. It’s not guaranteed to please and with the release of the first theatrical poster this weekend, a lot of fans are looking for Luke Skywalker. There’s that, and many other questions making up the buzz around the trailer premiere:
I love #StarWars soooo MUCH, but not enough to watch football 😉

What if Joe Biden announces he’s running for president in the middle of the Star Wars trailer?

Many people like both Star Wars and football. Both are mainstream American media products. It’s not Franzen guest judging American Idol.

If there’s a little more buzz around football than usual, it’s bound to be die-hards complaining or loving the new teaser.
