Discovery+’s Generation Drag Premieres June 1

By Rebecca Theodore-Vachon

Discovery+ announced a June release date for Generation Drag, a new docuseries. The show is an intimate look at five teenagers preparing for their biggest drag performance at Dragutante, a drag show that serves as a platform for LGBTQ+ teens to express themselves.

Generation Drag will feature Jameson, Noah, Vinny, Bailey and Nabela, participating in Dragutante. The series will document these five teens as they juggle the pressures of impending adulthood and the ups-and-downs as their families and “drag moms” mentor and prepare them to perform for the drag ball.

Tyra Banks serves as executive producer of Generation Drag. She shared her excitement in joining the project, saying, “I have such admiration and respect for these teens. They are bravely navigating coming into their own in a world that can be very challenging and not always accepting. What is so beautiful is seeing their parents and siblings supporting them. These teens’ laser-focused tenacity inspires my team and me, and we are honored to share their stories. I can’t wait for these popping personalities to show their fierceness to the world.”
