Conan, Kutcher talk social media at SXSW

By Cory Bergman

Conan O’Brien sat down and spoke with Facebook’s Randi Zuckerberg here at SXSW. “A lot of the best things in life who don’t chose… they happen to you,” he said about embracing social media after leaving NBC. “Suddenly all this support sprang up for me on Twitter and Facebook, and the internet exploded,” he said. “(I realized) they don’t need to see me at a certain time on a certain network. They’ll follow me someplace else. That was a huge moment in my life.” Here’s the full interview…

Zuckerberg also spoke with Ashton Kutcher, who has embraced social media more than any other celebrity — even starting his own social media production company. “At times I may have overshared and gotten in trouble at home for doing so,” he said. “When you can take an idea and put it out there and have people connect with it, respond to it or interact with it, and make it better, I think that’s sort of the magic of the collective conscience of what we call the internets.” Watch the interview…
