CBS News’ digital network, CBSN, launched today on Xbox One with an updated news app. CBSN features live news coverage, 24 hours a day.
To mark its launch on the Xbox, it will also stream the Democratic presidential debate this Saturday. Through the app, viewers will also get real-time Twitter trends along with streaming the anchored coverage before and after the debate.
The app is enhanced so that users can listen to live coverage while also browsing on-demand and other news content. On the Xbox, the app supports Kinect voice control, too.
Since the app’s launch last year, it’s been made available on most connected TV devices: Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Roku players and Roku TV models. Viewers can also stream the news on mobile devices and their desktop.
