CBS Radio introduces highly interactive iPad app

By Steve Safran

CBS Radio has always done an excellent job with its traditional radio broadcasting on the internet. I wrote several years ago about how it was ahead of the competition in audio streaming. Now, CBS Interactive Music Group jumping quickly into iPad territory with its new Radio.com app. According to the CBS Radio press release, the app includes:

“…programming from CBS Radio and its streaming partners, including Yahoo! Music, among others, with Last.fm’s proprietary scrobbling technology, artist pages, photo galleries, charts, and event listings.”

I haven’t had a chance to play with the app, but it looks pretty cool. It’s very “next-gen radio” and I have a feeling its features will be copied (lawyers on your marks…).
