The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying
and executing on new partnership opportunities for the CBS Television
Stations. They will also play a critical role in managing a set of
existing relationships for CBS Television Stations. Their primary
focus is to increase the sources and streams of incremental revenue
generated via digital media platforms (internet, wireless, etc.)
across the CBS Television Stations. This position is responsible for
the effective negotiation and execution of agreements with technical,
transactional, content, marketing, search, wireless and advertising
partners. In addition, this individual will coordinate the
maintenance and stewardship of business development relationships on
the CBS Television Stations digital properties which includes
extensive optimization analysis and implementation with respect to
monetizing each and every use of CBS Television Station content.
The position will also be responsible for coordination with local and
national editorial teams, finance, sales, and technical operations to
execute business development programs.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of competitive digital media marketplace to identify new
potential opportunities

• Negotiate and manage the implementation of business development
relationships

• Analysis of existing CBS Television Station business
relationships

• Meeting and building relationships with senior executives
(internal and external)

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of developing business models for content
distribution

• Results oriented, extremely proactive & highly responsive with
great attention to detail

• Outstanding negotiator

• Aptitude for managing multiple daily tasks & longer-term
strategic projects

• Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills

• Demonstrated leadership and diplomacy skills

• Ability to be productive & focused in a fast-paced,
team-oriented, environment

• Talent for working well independently or with a variety of teams
within an organization

• Capable of prioritizing & meeting aggressive timelines set by
management

• Skilled with Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint

Experience:

• Minimum 4-5 years of business development and/or strategic
planning experience in online, wireless, and/or television industries

• Experience structuring and successfully negotiating complicated
deals

• MBA and/or JD preferred
