By Rebecca Theodore-Vachon

The cast of Bridgerton is back in production for Season 3.

Netflix announced the popular Regency-era series is shooting in London. New cast members for Season 3 include Daniel Francis, Sam Phillips and James Phoon. Francis plays Marcus Anderson, a charismatic presence attracting the attention—and ire—of certain matriarchs. Phillips plays Lord Debling, a genial and wealthy noble whose eccentricities keep the attention of young women. Phoon plays Harry Dankworth, who is witty and intelligent.

The third season will focus on the romance between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). When Penelope has given up on her years-long crush on Colin, she decides it’s time to take a husband, one who will provide her with enough financial independence to continue her double life as high society gossip Lady Whistedown. However, when Colin returns from his summer travels and sees that Penelope has moved on, he offers to mentor her in finding a partner and realizes his feelings for her are more than friendly. Complicating things is Penelope’s frenemy, Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who is out for revenge.
