President Barack Obama will lend his voiceover talent to the upcoming Netflix documentary Our Great National Parks. The five-part series will air April 13, inviting viewers to discover the natural wonders of our national parks and wild spaces.

Netflix released a trailer today for Our Great National Parks, which will explore five continents, traveling from Monterey Bay in California, to Tsavo National Park in Kenya, the rainforests of Indonesia’s Gunung Leuser National Park and the Chilean Patagonia.

In a statement to Netflix, Higher Ground Productions explained their partnership with President Obama to narrate the series: “During his administration, President Obama established and expanded protections for more than 550 million acres of America’s public lands and waters, more than any other U.S. president in history. In 2009 he signed the most extensive expansion of land and water conservation in a generation, which designated more than two million acres of Federal wilderness and protected thousands of miles of trails and more than one thousand miles of rivers. He completed one of the largest marine monuments in the world, which is completely off-limits to commercial resource extraction, and he announced more recoveries under the Endangered Species Act than had been done under any previous administration”

Using the hashtag #WildForAll, the producers of Our Great National Parks will partner with the Wildlife Conservation Society and Count Us In will launch a social media campaign to engage with audiences to learn more about nature conservation and its benefits to climate health.
