Bad Sisters Gets a Season 2 at Apple TV+

By Jessica Lerner

Apple TV+ renewed Bad Sisters, the darkly comedic murder mystery series from Sharon Hogan, for Season 2.

In the show, the close-knit Garvey sisters have always cared for one another. But when their brother-in-law passes away, his life insurers initiate an investigation to establish malice — and focus on the sisters, who all had more than enough motive to kill him.

The cast is led by Horgan, Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene and Eve Hewson as the Garvey sisters. Claes Bang, Brian Gleeson, Daryl McCormack, Assaad Bouab and Saise Quinn round out the ensemble cast.

“If you’d have told me three years ago that I’d be making a series about five murderous sisters chasing a man around Ireland trying to kill him I’d have said; yeah, that sounds about right,” Hogan said in a statement. “The response to our show had been beyond what we could have hoped for. It gave us the opportunity to shine a light on stories that don’t always get such a global platform. I look forward to getting chilly in the Irish Sea one more time.”

The 10-episode first season premiered in August.
