Apple TV+ Sets Premiere Dates for Five Days at Memorial, Bad Sisters

By Jessica Lerner

Two new series will debut on Apple TV+ this August.

Five Days at Memorial, the limited eight-episode series from John Ridley and Carlton Cuse, will debut on Friday, Aug. 12, with the first three episodes. New episodes will drop every Friday through Sept. 16. Five Days at Memorial takes inspiration from Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink‘s book on Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath on a local hospital. Exhausted caregivers at a New Orleans hospital make decisions that might affect them for years when floodwaters surged, lights went out and the temperature rose.

Bad Sisters, Sharon Horgan‘s smart and dramatic, darkly humorous murder mystery, will launch with the first two episodes on Friday, Aug. 19, followed by new episodes Fridays until Oct. 14. The 10-episode series covers the lives of the Garvey sisters, who are tied together by their parents’ untimely deaths and a commitment to always look out for one another.
