Android’s ‘Friends Furever’ Reclaims Top Spot on Digital Ad Chart

It’s time to take a look at the top 10 ads of the week by digital share of voice*, powered by tracks TV ads in real-time and allows customers to monitor social actions, search activity and online video views associated with TV spots across Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Bing, and Yahoo!

This week, the shoes finally came off. Having owned the top spot for the last few weeks, Adidas’ “Take It” fell to the bottom five, allowing a resurgent “Friends Furever” spot from Android to reclaim the crown with a 2.18% digital share of voice powered by 1.1 million online views and nearly 21,000 social actions.

The other shoe didn’t drop, however, as Reebok replaced its “Be More Human” spot with “Pump to Adapt” which maintained the shoe manufacturer’s hold on the No. 2 position with a 1.29% share of voice, driven by 1.3 million online views and 7,800 social actions.

With the decline of the veterans, the rest of the list was far more democratic in terms of share of voice figures. All entrants in the top five sported at least a 1% SOV figure, with GEICO’s “Free-Range Chicken” spot at 1.22%, McDonald’s “Petaluma, CA” spot at 1.12%, and’s “Brad Bellflower: Launch” spot at 1%.

And not one spot on the list fell below .5%, including the recently dethroned champ “Take It” from Adidas, which still commanded a respectable .78% SOV even at No. 7. and notable newcomer “Amiibos” from Nintendo at No. 8 with a .57% SOV.
