ABC Family and PFLAG National are kicking off Pride Month, which begins today, by pledging support to PFLAG in return for an exclusive clip of Becoming Us. The show, with Ryan Seacrest as executive producer, premieres June 8 and:
centers on a teenager named Ben who is learning to live with his dad becoming a woman. The series follows Ben, his family and his friends as they support one another through this unexpected journey and navigate their new world with Charlie now living as Carly. The show is a generational story of a loving family and circle of friends supporting one another through this unfamiliar situation.
Leading up the premiere, you can take the pledge by clicking on a link for a pre-written tweet.

The clip is nine and a half minutes, which is a lot of content for a tweet. It’s also, according to Twitter, the first time they’ve partnered with anyone for an LGBT cause.
