Gather news and information for newscasts; play an active role in
deciding newscast content, how stories are produced and where they
will be placed within the program; write news copy for broadcast,
assign and supervise writers and associate producers; prepare
newscast formats; plan and coordinate the use of graphic elements in
the newscast; line produce the 6pm news and fill in when necessary to
produce any of FOX 5’s regularly scheduled newscasts. Candidates must
have a minimum of two years experience producing television newscasts
for broadcast on a commercial TV station. Proficiency in writing
conversational broadcast news copy under deadline and excellent
English grammar, spelling and punctuation skills are essential.

public, both in person and over the telephone.
