We’ve Found Our Place in This World

Our Spanish is a bit rusty, but we do know you can’t tell the players without a scorecard, and that’s just what the Soybits blog has put together: a “subway map” that shows “who’s who” in the 21st-century book world, and what they’re up to. We admit to some small thrill to seeing ourselves tucked away in the bottom left corner, sharing the “conversational line” with friends like Booksquare and Print Is Dead and Teleread. Tell you what: Just start popping the names you find scattered on this map into Google, and with a little patience, you’ll piece together a pretty interesting story about where the book biz is today.

Or you could just add GalleyCat to your RSS feed or email subscriptions and read it every weekday, which might be a little easier. (But don’t overlook the other blogs on “our track,” because they cover a lot of angles we’ve missed.)

(For example, we found this map at The 26th Story, the official HarperStudio blog.)
