Actor Wendell Pierce best known for his role as Detective Bunk Moreland on the HBO series, The Wire, is writing a book.
Pierce is a native of New Orleans and will explore how the city was affected and changed after Hurricane Katrina in The Wind in the Reeds: A Storm, A Play, and the City That Would Not Be Broken. The book drops September 8th. Here is more from the book’s description.
