Warren Ellis Analyzes US and English World Cup Wins

By Jason Boog

sgsig.jpgAs we noted last week, graphic novelist Warren Ellis has been covering the World Cup with his special brand of dark tweets. Today, as both the US and English teams scored major wins, he remained in high form.

When England played particularly hard, he wrote: “What have England got to do to get a yellow card? Use a flamethrower on the Slovenian team?”

When England won he wrote: “England cheat laws of physics, win, go through to next group. Sh***y plastic-flag infestation continues in England.”

Our favorite is this tweet, posted when England tied the United States: “I wish to assure our American friends that, for this performance, the England team will in fact be executed.”
