Lionsgate has unleashed the first trailer for the American Pastoral film adaptation. The story for this project comes from Philip Roth’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel.
According to Paste Magazine, John Romano served as the screenwriter. The video embedded above offers glimpses of Ewan McGregor as Seymour ‘Swede’ Levov, Jennifer Connelly as Dawn, and Dakota Fanning as Merry Levov.
Vanity Fair reports that this movie marks the directorial debut of McGregor. The theatrical release date has been set for October 21. (via Slate)
