Tracking the page turners

So here’s my challenge, mostly to me: let’s take ten books due out this fall, ten that are so conveniently picked by Time’s Andrea Sachs as “ones to watch” and track how they do once they are actually unleashed upon the public. Will Jed Rubenfeld’s THE INTERPRETATION OF MURDER live up to hype? What about Erik Larson’s next true crime thriller, THUNDERSTRUCK? More importantly, will Hyperion be disappointed when Mitch Albom’s newest novel doesn’t live up to expectations? (Oops, I’m showing my bias again.) Whatever happens, it’ll be a fun, extremely flawed experiment to show if buzz is truly commensurate with sales…
