The Guardian Names Top 100 Novels in English

Looking to cram some final reads into your summer? The Guardian has named the top 100 novels ever written in the English language, which is full of good ideas for books to read.

The Rainbow by DH Lawrence (1915),  Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe (1719), Gulliver’s Travels by Jonathan Swift (1726) and Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf (1925) made the list, which is organized chronologically. Books editor Robert McCrum spent two years coming up with his list.
