The Designers & Books Fair Is Coming to NY

By Dianna Dilworth

Designers looking for a book fair? The Designers & Books Fair is happening in New York October 2-4.

The fair focuses on books about architecture, fashion, graphic design, interior design, landscape architecture, product design, urban design, and the like. Programs will include contributions from Milton Glaser, Irma Boom, Steve Heller, Philip Pearlstein, and the design directors of The New York Times Sunday Magazine, The Paris Review, and Aperture.

This year’s edition of the festival will also include a new feature called “Experiences with Authors.” Attendees that purchase a book at the fair will be entered into a drawing to win a special experience with an author. These experiences will include lunches with designers as well as tours of their studios.

The event’s main exhibition hall is at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), and a portion of the proceeds will go to help fund FIT’s main library.
