The Book of Mormon has seen an eruption in both positive and negative Amazon reviews.
According to reports, teachers at the Mormon school Brigham Young University encouraged students to write 5-star reviews of the religious text on Amazon. A Facebook group even demonstrated how to create fake accounts in order to write numerous reviews. Non-believers have reacted to this false promotion by writing their own 1-star reviews.
The battle is ongoing. Just as quickly as a review such as, “Another testament of Jesus. It goes hand in hand with the Bible,” pops up, another that reads, “This book is rubbish,” is also posted. (Via Melville House).
