Stone Village Productions has optioned the movie and television rights to Circus Mirandus. Reportedly, the deal closed at a high six-figures.
According to The Wrap, Cassie Beasley’s debut novel stars two children named Micah and Jenny. The story focuses on “an unusual adventure to find the mysterious Circus Mirandus and its greatest magician, the Lightbender, in an effort to save Micah’s dying Grandpa Ephraim.”
Deadline.com reports that Dial Books for Young Readers will release this middle grade book, the first of a planned series, in June 2015. A sequel will follow the next year.
