At a Social Media Week panel discussion sponsored by Blogads this afternoon, author Steven B. Johnson shared details about his work on Findings.com–an upcoming website where readers can save and share clipped, highlighted, or annotated sections from their digital reading lists.
At the Social Books panel in New York City, the author of Where Good Ideas Come From explained the site’s goals: “All this information stored in books hasn’t been structured very well [online] … Google has structured online content very well, but books haven’t been digitized until very recently.”
The site is currently in closed beta, but you can sign up for more information. Johnson estimated the site would enter public beta mode “in the next couple months.” Earlier this week, we wrote about how you can share notes and highlights from your Kindle eBooks.
