Yesterday Starbucks announced that the nonfiction book, out from HarperCollins’ Ecco, is the coffee company’s next book program selection. The book tells Ollestad’s amazing true story–how he survived a mountain plane crash as an 11-year-old boy. As GalleyCat reported, the Starbucks program sells thousands and thousands of copies.

Starbucks’ VP of brand content, Chris Bruzzo, had this statement: “When selecting a book to carry in our stores we seek out well-written, thought-provoking pieces that spur conversation … [it] is the right book for right now. It’s a life-affirming tale that gave us pause to reflect on thriving in the face of adversity. Ultimately, it’s a story about a father and a son, and that makes it a perfect gift for Father’s Day.”
