shakespeareSamsung Electronics UK and the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) have teamed up to create an app called “RE: Shakespeare.” With this product, users can play interactive games, watch videos, perform in a music video, and remix Shakespearean words for an original track.

According to the press release, it focuses on the play Much Ado About Nothing and contains “thematic links to and quotes from 19 other Shakespeare plays.” The developers hope to “to re-frame how students approach Shakespeare, building on their love of technology to help them to have a new experience of his work.”

The New York Times reports that David Tennant serves as both an ambassador for the RSC and the host for this project. Some of the other participants include actress Tamsin Greig, beatboxing artist Shlomo, rapper Akala, and director Iqbal Khan. (via The Telegraph)
