scholasticlogo082310.jpg Move over, Clifford. Scholastic is making room for another big dog. The children’s publishing and media company is looking for a director of marketing to take the lead on customer research and professional development services.

If hired, you’ll conduct focus groups, gather feedback on products, and assess the needs and changes of the market. You’ll work closely with the editorial and marketing teams to determine where the feedback would be best utilized, and maintain a committee of customers who will provide regular opinions. You’ll also conduct competitor analysis of existing PD programs, provide field training and create marketing materials.

Three to five years of experience in the educational publishing industry, plus a BA degree are must-haves to be considered for the gig. This position also requires a bit of travel, so you should be willing to hop on a plane when necessary. Interested? Apply here.
