Scene @ A Shattered Peace Conference

Michele Wucker, executive director of the World Policy Institute, touches base with Forbes executive editor David A. Andelman Tuesday night before a WPI-sponsored discussion of his latest book on the history of diplomacy, A Shattered Peace, at the Overseas Press Club (which co-sponsored the event). As Andelman prepared to field questions on the long-term consequences of the lopsided terms of the Versailles treaty after the First World War, Wucker filled me in on the search for a new editor-in-chief at World Policy Journal, saying a recent call for candidates had turned up several stong leads. She also hinted that there will be more editorial openings at the Journal in the near future, “so if somebody thinks they’re not necessarily qualified to be editor-in-chief, there will still be opportunities.”
