Save Mark Twain’s Home!

By Jason Boog

200px-Mark_Twain,_Brady-Handy_photo_portrait,_Feb_7,_1871,_cropped.jpgIn another grim reminder of our economic woes, the most all-American of authors may lose his home in the next couple weeks–unless a brave contingent of writers can raise enough money to save the 19th Century home this evening.

Tonight Tom Perrotta, Stewart O’Nan, and Phillip Lopate will join a slew of writers for a reading in Hartford, Connecticut to celebrate the legacy of Mark Twain.

The benefit will raise money to save the Mark Twain House & Museum, which faces dire financial woes. Even if you can’t stop by tonight, be sure to visit the webpage for more information. Details follow after the jump…
