The Rona Jaffe Foundation has revealed the six winners of the 21st annual Writers’ Awards: Meehan Crist, Vanessa Hua, Ashley M. Jones, Britteney Black Rose Kapri, Amanda Rea, and Natalie Haney Tilghman. Each winner will receive a $30,000.00 grant.
These women will be presented with their awards at a New York reception on Sept. 18. Past winners include Rachel Aviv, Elif Batuman, and Eula Biss.
Here’s more from the press release: “The Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Awards are given to writers of fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Since the program began in 1995, the Foundation has awarded over $2 million to emergent women writers.”
