According to Publishers Weekly, Gareth Stevens Publishing has a backlist of 2,200 titles, including the Amazing Animals series pictured here for Spring 2009.

In a release, the company stressed that it will focus on one corner of the school market: “[W]e will focus on our Weekly Reader-branded businesses, specifically our magazines and Custom Publishing business and our growing array of digital activities. These activities include future enhancements of Weekly Reader Express, the digital archive product that was successfully launched last fall through our relationship with netTrekker; development of 10 E-issues for five different magazines in the 09-10 school year, and the addition of 16 digital supplements.”
