R.L. Stine‘s favorite horror novel is Misery by Stephen King.
The best-selling children’s author revealed this fact in an “Ask Me Anything” AMA session hosted on the online reading community Wattpad. “The best book ever written about the relationship between a writer and an editor,” he wrote. “And no, even though some people call me ‘Stephen King, for kids,’ I’ve never met him.”
During the AMA, Stine also revealed the biggest compliment he has ever received from a reader. “I like all the letters rom parents who say, basically, ‘My kid never liked to read. But I caught him/her under the covers at two in the morning reading one of your books with a flashlight.'”
