Kennedy leaves behind both a legislative and literary legacy from his long career in the U.S. Senate, a journey that began in 1962. The show also discussed the future of Kennedy’s upcoming memoir, “True Compass, which will be published by the Twelve imprint in September.

During the show, Calderone outlined the major impact Kennedy’s passing will have on the Washington D.C. media scene: “There are innumerable political ramifications that we are going to be dealing with here at Politico. Outside of the ongoing legislation and ongoing debates here in Washington, the Kennedy story has always been something that captivated Americans.”
