Plastic Logic Partners with More Magazines

By Jason Boog

plasticlogic23.jpgPlastic Logic has partnered with a host of new magazines, including Popular Science, PC World, Macworld, CIO, Network World, Computerworld, and Technology Review–making these publications available for the QUE reader.

The digital device will be unveiled in early January, an ultra-thin 1/3 inch thick device the size of a piece of paper. The reader will also have digital partnerships with Financial Times, USA TODAY, Detroit Free Press, and Detroit News. The machine will also read Word, PowerPoint, Excel documents and have access to 1 million eBooks in the Barnes & Noble eBook store.

Next year the device will probably compete against the prophesied release of Tablet computers. These readers will feature color screens and Internet functions, and Time, Inc. is already building magazine content for these devices. Follow this link for more GalleyCat stories about Plastic Logic.
