Philip K. Dick Is In Development, Alas

Word is floating around online that Bill Pullman might play Philip K. Dick in a movie called Panasonic which uses the acclaimed science-fiction author’s life as a springboard for a comedic thriller in which, according to Production Weekly, “the lines between reality and perfection blur [as] paranoid conspiracy theories of the highest order, drug-fueled interdimensional shifts, and 1970s pop-culture combine for the mind-bending adventure of the century.” No signs of this project in the Internet Movie Database yet, but the rumors are pretty specific; not only is Pullman’s name attached to the project, said to begin shooting next month, but the director is identified as Matthew Wilder. As in “Break My Stride,” yes, that Matthew Wilder. I guess nobody’s going to slow this film down!
