Marvel has hired filmmaker Peyton Reed to helm the Ant-Man film adaptation. Writer Adam McKay will work on the script.
Prior to this announcement, McKay had been in talks to take the director’s seat himself. Last month, he sent out a tweet confirming that he would not take on that position.
Deadline reports that comedic actor Paul Rudd will star in the titular role and Oscar winner Michael Douglas will play Dr. Hank Pym. A release date has been scheduled for July 17, 2015.
