Dawn Kresan has launched an Indiegogo campaign. She hopes to raise $25,000.00 for the Pelee Island Book House and Writers’ Retreat.
This retreat will take place in Pelee Island, Ontario. Some of the authors who have agreed to serve as instructors for this program include Margaret Atwood, Steven Heighton, Cassidy McFadzean, and Alissa York. We’ve embedded a video about the project above.
Here’s more about from the campaign webpage: “Each retreat offers writers the chance to work on their own and also to take part in facilitated workshop sessions, which will combine group discussion and individual text critiques. The 7-day retreat will include two master classes, and the 5-day retreat will have one master class. On an annual basis, one of the retreats will be sponsored by Pelee Island Bird Observatory (PIBO), which will offer a nature related writing workshop.”
