More than 3.3 million copies of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child script book have been sold in North America. Scholastic released the hardcover print edition on July 31 (the birthday of both Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling).
Rowling teamed up with Jack Thorne and John Tiffany to work on the story for this two-part play. Back in October 2015, Rowling announced on Pottermore that this project will serve as the eighth story of her beloved book series.
