Nicholas Hoult has been cast in the J.D. Salinger biopic, Rebel in the Rye. In the past, Hoult has acted in several book-based movies including X-Men: Days of Future Past, Warm Bodies, and Dark Places.
Deadline reports that Danny Strong, the scribe behind Game Change and The Butler, will serve as both the director and the screenwriter. Strong will adapt Kenneth Slawenski’s biography, J.D. Salinger: A Life, for this project.
