New York City TransLit Commuter Book Club Launches

By Maryann Yin

The New York City TransLit Commuter Book Club has opened for readers in the five boroughs. In December, public transit commuter club members will read This Machine Kills Secrets by Andy Greenberg.

Visit the club’s official Meetup.com page for more details. Readers can meet the author at the book club’s kickoff event–check out the event at Togather. The organizers were inspired by Seattle’s “Books on the Bus” club.

Here’s more about the event: “Our first event is at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11 at Lolita Bar in Manhattan … to RSVP to this event, just buy a book through Togather. This will act as your ticket to the event and will also get you one free drink at the event! And, don’t worry about the designated driver. You can always take public transit home!”
