gour.jpgNew Yorker staff writer Philip Gourevitch has been named the new editor of The Paris Review — an appointment which, according to the lit mag’s simpering press release,”comes at a time of renewed enthusiasm and support for sustaining The Paris Review.” Unsurprisingly, no mention is made of recently ousted editor Brigid Hughes, rumored to have clashed with the magazine’s new (and, age-wise, much older) “corporate element.”
