Good Omens 200Neil Gaiman will be working on a new Good Omens TV show. The story for this six-part miniseries will be sourced from the novel that Gaiman co-wrote with the late Terry Pratchett.

Here’s more from The Guardian: “Released in 1990, Good Omens was listed among the BBC’s Big Read of the nation’s 100 favourite books. An apocalyptic black comedy, it tells the tale of Crowley the demon and Aziraphale the angel teaming up to deal with the Antichrist – who is, owing to a muddled baby swap, a schoolboy growing up in modern, rural England.”

Empire Magazine reports that Gaiman and Pratchett had previously sworn to one another to always work on Good Omens-related projects together. Gaiman only agreed to do this after reading a letter from Pratchett. In his message, Pratchett gave his blessing for Gaiman to proceed without him on this television adaptation. (via io9)
